Sale Terms and Conditions
General
Bidding
is as the auctioneer calls it. High bid wins.
Jennets with foals
at side will sell for one money.
Risk
– Donkeys are the responsibilities of, and owned by the consignor until the
auctioneer declares them sold, they are then the responsibility of, and
owned by the buyer.
Announcements
from the auction block supercede previous information, either verbal or
written.
Contract
is between buyer and seller (OCBS is not a party to). Guarantees are
between buyer and seller. Representations made by sale management are made
on behalf of the seller.
Transportation
– We will be setting up a table with cards (to be filled out) for those who
are willing to transport other donkeys and those desiring transportation for
the donkeys they have purchased. This is a service and an agreement is
between the transporter and the donkey owner only (we are not making, nor
are we a party to, transportation arrangements).
Liabilities
– In keeping with Missouri Statute (pertaining to equine) attending this
event is at your own risk, the sales management will not be responsible for
accidents or loss of personal property.
Buyer’s
Terms – Cash, check, debit
card, or credit card immediately upon conclusion of the sale. Electronic
transactions will incur a 3% charge. A driver’s license is required with
checks.
Absentee Bids
–You may Phone Bid, Absentee Bid, or have someone in attendance bid on your
behalf. You must make arrangements with sale personnel at least 72 hours
prior to the beginning of the sale. We cannot guarantee phone service nor
that other complications won’t occur.
Removal of Donkeys
– Donkeys may not be removed from the sale until the sale has concluded.
Payment in full must be made prior to loading the donkey(s).
Traveling Papers
– The vet will be available for a limited time, get your papers immediately
after the sale.
